One of the most classic and loved cars in all of American history is no doubt the Ford Mustang. Its classic muscle car power and sleek lines have captured the hearts of car lovers for decades. The new deisgn was revealed and interest in the classic car peaked. In the times of hybrids and SUV’s, the new Mustang was a sigh of relief for car lovers everywhere. The 2010 redesign of the Mustang was no different and lived up to this car’s legendary status.

The new 2010 Mustang has kept its boxy, muscle car look but has improved the not-so-noticeable features. The first upgrade the new Mustang received was its interior. The 2010 model has more metallic features, including round dials on the dashboard and an optional Ford/Microsoft Sync system. The exterior got a slight facelift and bears a proud resemblance to the 1969 Mustang. It has a cool four-light grille, beveled bumpers on the front and back and a huge hood scoop.

Underneath the hood, there are some obvious improvements as well. The Mustang runs a cold-air system which trims its 0-60 times, but has not increased its power too much. The new model boasts 315 horsepower, while previous models only had about 300. The car's redline has been increased from 6250 to 6500rpm. The new Mustang also comes with a stiffer suspension and its standard 18-inch tires have increased its handling.

One of the cooler observations that Car and Driver made about the new Mustang is how it manages to be both quiet and loud at the same time. If you don’t rev the engine, road and wind noise is minimal making for a peaceful ride. However, if you feel the need for speed and rev up your V-8 engine, you can hear the power in surround sound, so to speak. Ford has introduced what is called a “sound induction tube” that connects the intake to the cabin of the car. This tube transmits only certain frequencies while restricting air flow – that’s pretty high-tech!

Another great thing about the new Mustang is the fact that even though Ford has made some improvements, they haven’t increased the price much. A base model V-6 Mustang will go for just under $22,000 while a GT will cost you just under $29,000. Gas mileage isn’t too bad either for a sporty ride. It will get you about 15mpg city and 23 highway. "Green" it isn't, but it is a poweful, fun ride - the stuff of legends. All in all, the new Mustang has gotten great reviews and you can be sure that new customers and loyal Mustang owners alike will be lining up for the new 2010 pony.

However, it does feel heavy and underpowered at times, as the F-150 does. Some drivers will notice that the truck under-steers when g-forces are present. In spite of these downsides, which are common to all trucks, most drivers will feel comfortable driving the Raptor in everyday situations.

In general, the F-150 Raptor is the ideal truck for the driver who wants something comfortable for day-to-day driving that also has the capability of kicking up some sand in the wilderness.

I have the sudden urge to get all existential…so I will.

There are certain things that will never change in this galaxy, regardless of time or tide. British summer-times will always be grey affairs permeated occasionally by a pathetic ray of sun, Pease Porridge is a dish that will never be eaten by anyone south of Carlisle and Bob Geldof will always be a self-righteous crab with more in common, genetically, with a Oranguatan than a human being. Amongst all this irretrievably crushing monotony there is one constant that refuses to disappoint and continues to delight; the simple pleasure of driving a Used Ford car.

Ford have always been inherently capable of producing cars that exceed expectation in almost every individual category it is possible to evaluate a car by. The engines are always high performing, but economical and ecological. The handling is always fantastically pin-point precise and the envy of many ‘higher-brand’ manufacturers. The very experience of being sat in a Ford is a pleasant one, combining comfort and practicality almost effortlessly.

Sadly though, some greedy merchant bankers went a bit OTT recently and now the country is ruined financially. Car manufacturer Jaguar have released their new XJ model in London. The XJ is the replacement for the older XF model so just like the XF, the XJ is required to bring in a large number of sales.

When the XF model was released, the amount of sales that it brought in lifted the company out of a slump that it was in. Jaguar are hoping that the new XJ model will do exactly the same at the XF.

It’s been reported that Tata, the company that bought Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford, are losing £1 million a day on the 2 companies.

Because Jaguar are using this new car to try and boost sales, they have changed the design of the car slightly. Although some current Jaguar owners have said that they don’t like the new design, Jaguar are standing by their attempt to make the new car mor modern. They have done this because they are trying to attract a new type of car buyer.

They have improved the design of the car by making it more sleek and stylish. Ian Callum, the designer director, has said that the new design is “right and correct for the 21st Century” and they are now hoping they will gain new customers that wouldn’t have wanted to buy a Jaguar in the past.

Jaguar have also added new gadgets like a digital dashboard. This will allow you to change what displays on your dashboard, you can even put your sat nav on there. The car also comes with a very large boot as well as a panormaic windscreen, and all that’s fitted into a light weight aluminium shell.

This sounds pretty good, however, it comes at a price. The car ranges from £50,000 to £90,000 based upon which model you want.

I don’t think this would really be an ideal car for driving lessons. Maybe if you went with an experienced Worthing driving instructor, it might be more successful.

Latterly I have tested the new Ford Explorer 2006 RSC Advanced Trail. And I was impressed. I leave you to get a total list of specs of this the most selling SUV in Northern America somewhere else on countless websites, in car magazines, and present below impression and opinion of my own.

Ford Explorer 2006 is the real evidence that straggling company is on a right track to gain back trust of US citizens seriously corroded in a last 15-20 years, though Explorer, as it mentioned before, remains the bestseller thru these years of Japanese auto expansion to the Yank market.

The new Explorer is an example of those automobiles that present well balanced mix of SUV and auto capabilities. Its road ride on a 100/120 km per hour is smooth and absolute cars’ like. Really I regret while on a front passenger seat this SUV is missing a handle above the window which is standard on every well supplied auto model. Aside from that it is provide car’s comfort in each dimension with fantastic noise protection. Powerful engine almost silent, suspension soft enough, dashboard is well designed with all buttons of a right size and in correct place except maybe gear shifter that looks like an on/off switch on a kids electronic toy.

I am a vehicle guy, so to resume SUV/car comparison I have also figured out the front passenger of new Explorer is a little discriminated ( as at most lorries and automobiles ) compare to the driver in its ability to go in/out of the van. While driver enjoys “seat moving back” feature when key is out from ignition, passenger is climbing in its seat with far less comfort capability. However both driver and passenger seats are snug even for a long ride. Praising designers for the Explorer’s dashboard I will withdraw some compliments back while talking about inside door handles. As for me they are found too low to be good to snatch to open/close the door for a standard size man.

Every automobile today is a receptacle of cap holders and Explorer is no exception. But not every one has convenient and big enough glove box, so our tester is definitely not a winner here.

I like adjustable pedals, it’s a great option. But is it safe to allow the driver to adjust pedal while driving?

There is plenty of room on a second raw seats and spacious enough though less cosy on a third. At least you have an option: carry six passengers and no bags or 4 with descent cubic pictures on a back of your Explorer.

For some reason all 4 doors of new Explorer in their lowest part are sharply curved towards the body of the vehicle and it’s cool and likely gives some additional rigidity. But if you are tended to notice with regret every new scratch on your beast/beauty body ( pick the one!); you will see them (scratches) for sure right after taking Explorer off road for a first time. Scratches easily appear on a lower part of rear doors which sandwiches between the auto’s frames and sidestep with so small clearance between, that sand and muds sticking to the doors are working as abrasives for all surfaces.
Few years ago I have tested then new Explorer 2001 together with others SUVs in a same class like Nissan Pathfinder, Jeep Cherokee for example. That Ford Explorer wasn’t much different or worse than other contestants in terms of off road capacities. But it was squeaking and crackling on each major pothole or bump. There’s nothing like this on Explorer 2006.

Year after year shopper demands more and more from the vehicle and auto calls to keep pace. Ford made it with the new Explorer. It is truly great truck.
